Our investment management services include premier portfolio management by our investment manager, Goldman Sachs, and access to the expertise in their Institutional Services Division.

2. What types of funds does TOP offer?

TOP offers three basic funds: Donor Advised Funds for individuals; Endowment Funds for individuals or organizations; Managed Funds for organizations.

3. What is a Donor Advised Fund?

donor-advised fund, or DAF, is a philanthropic vehicle which allows a donor to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax benefit and then recommend grants from the fund over time.

4. What is an Endowment Fund?

An endowment fund is created when a donor or an organization specifies that a gift is to be invested for a non profit and that generally only 5% of the December 31 balance may be spent for a specific purpose or to further the non profits operating process.

5. What is a Managed Fund?

A managed fund offers nonprofit organizations the opportunity to set aside assets for investment while still maintaining full access to the funds. Non profits that have funds available for investment, but not enough to have their own investment account can benefit from being part of our investment pool.

In addition, an organization may choose to hold fundraising event revenues or large gifts received until needed; a managed fund can also be used to receive many small gifts from numerous individuals toward a specific campaign, event, or initiative. TOP manages all administrative duties related to accepting gifts, including tax substantiation for donors. Many organizations appreciate the ease of accepting gifts of appreciated stock or Israel Bonds through their managed funds at TOP.

6. What types of gifts do you accept?

We accept several different gifts such as cash, stock, bequests, retirement plan assets (IRA), life insurance, real estate, charitable remainder trusts and more. Please explore our gift planning section or contact us to understand more about the tax benefits of each type of gift.
